Services are defined in the "Services" menu. Images and descriptions can be attached to them so as operation time schedules to tell when a service is available and at what frequency.

The CRS allows to create services and then affect them to the desired entites with an inheritance system (Hotel => rate plan | guest room => sellable product, see image bellow), this allow to facilitate the management of services and to not have to to edit descriptions and update images on each service.

Add a new service

To add a new service, go in the "Services" menu and then click on "add new Service". There the following options are available allowing to import a service from a predefined list or create a new one.

From a predefined list

Those lists are based on the Open Travel Agency standards. The codes are stored in the database in the table ServicesDefinitions.

• Business services : Code refers OpenTravel Code List Business Servivce Type (BUS). Code format is BUS.001
• Meal plan services : Code refers to OpenTravel Code Table Meal Plan Type (MPT). Code format is MPT.001

From predefined booking channels

Thoses services are defined from some supported booking channels :

• Booking.com : Thoses services have the format BOO.001
• Expedia.com : Thoses services have the format EXP.001

• Available to any guest : indicates whether the business service is available to all guests or only to certain guests at the facility.

The services can be configured with the following options:

• Available : tell if the service is available in the hotel
• Proximity : list to tell where the service is available
• Charge type code : select the type of charge type used for this service

Inheritance

The inheritance system goes as follow :

Any services affected to the hotel are replicated to all the guest rooms, rate plans and sellable products

Any services affected to a guest room is replicated in the sellable products associated with this room

Any services affected to a rate plan is replicated in the sellable products associated with the rate plan

Affect a service

Services can be affected to different levels, it can be set to the hotel, guestroom, rateplan and sellable product.

Services can be inherited from top level, refer to the following image

To affect a service, go to the entity wanted (hotel, guestroom, rateplan or sellable product) and then click on the "affect services", then click on the "affect services" and configure the services wanted.
